Evie and Jacob

Ever taken advice from someone who told you what you wanted to hear??  Well, Randy and I did just that.  We took bad advice from someone in authority at USCIS and we went with it.  And as a result,  after our wedding in Barbados, I was denied entry into the US for SIX months!!!  Can you spell AGONY????  Since I had sold my home in NB,  I moved in with my sister in Toronto and became an instant nanny as she struggled to be a new mom to twins.  Randy had to drive or fly to see me, every 2 weeks or so.  We spent a ton of cash on hotel rooms for our weekend visits,  and we wondered and wept as we waited for my visa to come through.  And while we waited, I was smitten by my little niece and nephew and captured a few of the moments when I was not busy tending to a diaper change or bottle feeding or trying to convince Evie that food was for eating and not throwing on the floor. This is Jacob, and if he was one of the seven dwarfs, he would be Bashful!Evie was totally entertained by Casey.And equally entertained by the mirror in Mom's room!Hey, as long as you like what you see in the mirror, you'll be ok!!Ok, so I am actually the toothbrush enforcer.  Evie, you'll thank me one day!!My sister got new toys, and Evie was overjoyed!Jacob loved to sleep, and a house warm enough to go barefoot, and someone to cuddle made it that much better!

No, we did not serve them wine in the park...........but I think Evie thought her milk would taste much better in these fancy glasses!!  I look forward to the day when I get to supply photos for the reception at each of their weddings!!  I love looking at the shots I have taken of these two!! So many fun memories!
