I felt so thrilled and excited to get to shoot Melanie's wedding, not only because she is a beauty; but also because she is a wedding photographer herself. And although being in front of the lens is not Jason's favorite thing to do, he made a fantastic model on their wedding day. I think he was so smitten by his gorgeous bride that he did not have room for "posing fear" in his heart. They began their special day with handwritten personal vows in the historic Station 67, and their guests laughed and almost cried as Mel and Jason read their letters to each other. I had trouble holding back the lump in my own throat and had to concentrate a little harder on getting the shot because these two have such a deep appreciation for each other and it would make any romantic tear up. After their sweet ceremony, they headed over to The River Club for an afternoon celebration. After a fun day with family and friends, they did sunset portraits and we got to capture them in lovely evening light.

This handsome pastor flew in from out of town to conduct this wedding. I loved that he prayed with the groom before the ceremony.
Jason had to work hard to fight back the tears as Melanie walked down the aisle to him.
