The sense of family is such a wonderful thing. Randy & I were fortunate to be chosen to photograph the coming together of these two families to witness Katie & Nate's vows and celebrate their love. I was thrilled to be shooting in a Catholic Church.....I just love all the windows and natural light and design of Catholic Churches and Seton Parish did not let me down. Katie and Nate opted for the First Look and had an emotional and special meeting early in the day, under the shade of a lovely, giant old tree at Hickory Lakes. We were able to get all of their portrait work done before the rain arrived. After a wonderful ceremony, and a fun family portrait session at the alter of the church; we headed off to Hickory Lakes for the reception. I always love it when I see a family coming together on the dance floor and having a ball; and this reception was full of dancing and laughter. Nate's Dad and brother danced up a storm....I wondered if I had the stamina to dance that intensely! Katie's flowers were so colorful and pretty and the aroma from her bouquet was delightful. And of all the weddings that we have been to this season, their cake was the most delicious I have ever had!! I loved the cute photo displays all around the reception hall of the two of them in their growing up years...placed inside old books with appropriate titles. Such a unique and special touch!! Katie & Nate, we wish you years of love, dancing and laughter!!
