In April we had more rain than we have had in 100 years and the weather made many of our brides-to-be reschedule engagement shoots. And all that rain has brought about a BUMPER crop of mosquitos who are undaunted by Skintastic. After a family picnic in the park, and a backyard fire.....I am the itchy polka dot woman!! I thought I escaped these treacherous, blood thirsty "Canadian Birds" when I moved to Ohio because I never got bit once last summer!! But alas, they have must have launched a huge search party and they have found me hiding out in midwest USA!! Which brings me to something I love: Good comedy! I am watching a bit of a John Candy movie called "Canadian Bacon" and it has given me sooo many belly laughs in under an hour! If laughter is medicine to the soul, then this movie just gave me my drugs for the month!! And while I sit here, enjoying John Candy poking fun at his own homeland; I am also loving my Sooth-a-Caine by Banana Boat for numbing all those pesky red welts on my white Canadian legs!! At least the ants that we are concerned about in the wood pile have not decided to take a taste of me yet!! We decided to burn the ENTIRE wood pile the other night to get rid of a harbor for ants. I LOVE a great campfire and Randy is the greatest smore creator! Our last campfire was on the beach in California last fall, and we enjoyed the waves crashing in as we roasted our marshmallows......until the beach warden made us put out our fire and leave!! Well, a few nights ago there was no warden in our back yard and we made a fire mountain! Ahh, the little things in life; how sweet they are!! Here's our beach fire in Cali(Randy with Keith & Ashley)! Happy Sunday!!
